02

Data in the app and web app

Imported ZIP, JSON, and XML source files are used only for detection and parsing and are neither uploaded nor stored permanently. Spotify library and history are derived separately and joined locally by track identity. Metadata, statistics, decisions, filters, and selections remain versioned in browser storage.

03

What the app does not collect

No device ID, advertising ID, location, contacts, payment data, or advertising interactions. The app includes neither Google Mobile Ads nor User Messaging Platform, does not request App Tracking Transparency, and does not use Spotify OAuth.

04

Optional service waitlist

Only if you voluntarily sign up are your email address and preferred music service transmitted. After double opt-in, SkipLess uses them solely to notify you about that provider (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time through the privacy contact.

05

Voluntary service choice

If the email waitlist is not yet available, you can voluntarily send only the requested music service as an anonymous event without an account. No cookie is set for it. The offline web app sends no usage or import data.

06

Voluntary iOS tips

Optional tips in the iOS app are handled by Apple’s in-app purchase system. SkipLess does not receive complete payment details; Apple’s privacy and billing terms also apply.

07

Website and recipients

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. Resend Inc. sends confirmation email and stores confirmed contacts. Only voluntary waitlist details, a voluntary anonymous service choice, and technically necessary hosting and connection data may leave the device, including processing in the United States under suitable safeguards.

08

Retention

Local app data remains until you delete the app or its data. Unconfirmed waitlist tokens expire after 48 hours. Confirmed email addresses remain until withdrawal or the notification purpose ends. Technical hosting logs are kept only as operationally necessary and for a limited time.

09

Your rights

You have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent for the future. You may also complain to the LDI NRW or another competent data protection authority.

10

Deleting data

Remove native app data through system settings or by deleting the app. In the web app, use “Delete local data” or clear this site’s browser storage. To leave the waitlist, email privacy@skipless.de. Never send us your personal music export.

Apple Music in the iOS beta

Only after optional MusicKit system permission does SkipLess read favorited songs that are also in the Apple Music library directly from Apple. Displayed metadata, queue, keep/later decisions, and revoked favorites are stored separately in the device’s Application Support area, protected by iOS file protection, and excluded from device backups. SkipLess neither reads nor stores Music User Tokens or an Apple account ID. Each favorite revocation and undo is sent individually and directly to Apple. There are no listening statistics, playback, or library deletion. “Delete Apple Music data” removes only local metadata and progress; system permission is managed separately in iOS Settings.
